考马斯亮蓝R250（Coomassie brilliant blue R250）。C45H44O7H3S2Na，MW=824，λmax=560―590nm。染色灵敏度比氨基黑高5倍。尤其适用于SDS电泳微量蛋白质染色。但蛋白质浓度超出一定范围时，对高浓度蛋白的染色不符合Beer定律，用作定量分析时要注意这点。

考马斯亮蓝R-250是通过范德瓦尔键与蛋白质结合，尤其适用于SDS电泳微量蛋白质染色。它与不同蛋白质结合呈现出基本相同的颜色，并且在比较宽的范围内，扫描峰的面积与蛋白量呈线性关系。
